Wire art
The 7 ft 3ins Giant makes these model animals, moulded, bashed together with Woven galvanised wire mesh and a hammer. I sometimes have a nibble on the wires to help bend them into shape. It’s my trademark.
I study photographs and my drawings and then sculpt them all together with my massive hands. They really help, the only problem I can’t find gloves to fit. I study designs from books on the internet, but I’ve got everything to build them in my head.

Absolutely love the Bedlington! (having bred them for 30-odd years) I understand there’s a print available of the dog and the Angel of the North – how can I buy one, please? Don’t think I can afford an original sculpture.
I absolutely love Gary’s work – from the minute I moved into my new workplace in the Freeman Hospital, to the time I became acquainted with Gary.
I love all of it and want a garden full of diggers!

I was at a wedding at St Marys In yesterday and saw the sculptures of the dogs you have there. I was wondering what sort of price range you sell them for? My mother particularly liked the curly haired bedlington terrier (i think thats what it was) and i was hoping to get one for her.

I admired your West Highland Terrier sculpture at Doxford Hall last year – we have a nice photo of our bewildered Westy gazing at it. Most life-like.
